Rusty is a male Beagle, almost 3 years old and weighs about 40 lbs. His coat is short and he is tricolor, featuring beautiful brown, black, and white markings. Rusty is not yet house trained but is neutered and has his vaccinations up to date. He is located in San Ysidro, CA and is looking for an active home where he can thrive.

About Rusty

Meet Rusty, an adorable Beagle who is bursting with personality! At almost 3 years old, he’s a bundle of joy who loves attention and the company of other dogs. Rusty enjoys going for walks and does well on a leash, though he’s a bit on the chubby side at around 40 lbs. His ideal weight would be closer to 32 lbs, and we’re committed to helping him slim down a bit while he’s with us. Found in a tough situation, Rusty was living outdoors and needs a loving family willing to assist with house training and crate training. He can be quite vocal, so he might not fit well in an apartment setting. Rusty has a particular fondness for grass, making him the perfect companion for an active family with a green backyard. While we haven’t assessed how he interacts with cats, we know he’s a friendly dog overall. When Rusty is ready for adoption, he will come with a vet wellness exam, up-to-date vaccinations, deworming, heartworm and flea prevention, a microchip, and neuter surgery—all included!
