Meet Chanel, a tiny girl who once roamed the streets searching for food and safety. This adorable little “gremlin” was found knowing hunger all too well. You could see in her eyes the disappointment of being let down by the world. Yet, Chanel's spirit remains gentle, loving, and hopeful despite her hardships. Since entering rescue, she's blossomed beautifully. Chanel has gained healthy weight and learned that meals come regularly now, no longer eating as if it were her last chance. Watching her realize she is safe has been both heartbreaking and beautiful. Now in a foster home, Chanel gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats, and we believe she would thrive with respectful children as well. She’s adapting to using the doggie door and is comfortable in her crate. More than toys or treats, Chanel seeks what she’s likely never known — a family to love her forever.
