About Poppy
Poppy is a young, medium-sized American Bulldog and Boxer mix with a playful and goofy side that comes out once she feels safe. She tends to be a bit shy at first, especially around new people, but her love for toys and attention shines once she warms up. Poppy adapts a little faster to women but with patience, she'll settle in with anyone willing to give her time. She’s lived with cats and generally does well, although she sometimes gets the urge to chase, so some training and supervision are recommended. Poppy is house trained but may occasionally have accidents in her crate if left alone for long periods, though she’s making steady progress. She isn't aggressive—just timid—and will bark if crated when strangers arrive. Poppy needs someone willing to continue her socialization and help her build confidence. She loves deeply and will be loyal to anyone who takes the chance on her. Poppy would be thrilled to go home with her sister, Tulip, but can also thrive on her own. Start your journey together!
