About Poppy
Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Poppy is a sweet and energetic girl with a goofy side that shines when she's playing with her favorite toys. Though she’s a little shy at first, she quickly warms up and loves attention once she feels comfortable. Poppy may have the occasional accident in her crate if left alone for a long time, but her house training continues to improve as she gains confidence. She tends to be more comfortable around women but is able to bond with men too, as long as they’re patient and allow her time to trust. Poppy does well with cats, though her playful nature means she may want to chase them now and then; with continued training, she's likely to become even better with feline friends. Her biggest need is someone willing to work with her on building confidence and expanding her social skills, as she hasn't had much practice with new people and situations. While she can bark when crated as visitors arrive, she isn’t aggressive, just a bit timid. Poppy is truly a loving and loyal companion for anyone willing to help her blossom. If you’re open to adopting, she’d be thrilled to go home with her sister Tulip, too. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
