About Peony

Peony is a gentle, sweet-natured pocket pittie mix who has a calm disposition and an easygoing way about her. At about a year and a half old, she's finding her confidence in the world, learning every day that things aren't as scary as they once seemed. She's nearly mastered her house training—just a couple of accidents here and there as she settles into her routine—and she's completely relaxed and quiet while in her crate, which she actually appreciates as a safe spot. This girl is respectful in the home, polite about her manners, and her temperament leans naturally submissive and mellow. Peony enjoys short bursts of playful activity but will happily spend the rest of her time curled up on the couch, chewing her toys or napping beside her people. She’s learning to walk gently on leash and usually needs a bit more encouragement to get moving in new environments—she just wants to be reassured until she's comfortable. Peony does very well with other dogs and is social and easygoing in canine company. She hasn't been tested with cats yet. She's also great with children and polite with strangers. Baths aren't her favorite thing, but she’s cooperative and never dramatic about it. Peony will thrive in a patient, low-key home that offers gentle routine, encouragement, and lets her blossom at her own pace. Once she has your trust, she's a loyal and comforting companion who’s always happy to be by your side. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
