About Andrew
Andrew is a 4.5-year-old Doberman who is searching for his true forever family after returning to rescue for the second time. He needs a calm, confident adopter who will provide consistent structure, daily routine, and plenty of engagement. Andrew excels at crate time and already knows his obedience basics. He enjoys daily walks and loves to run around the backyard, chasing imaginary rabbits, but his playful style can be overwhelming for other dogs—so homes with other well-trained, stable dogs will need to keep playtime highly structured or consider solo status. He’s house trained, stays quiet inside, and will let you know when it’s time for a break. Andrew barks at strangers but quickly warms up with a few treats and can be handled by new people and boarding staff without trouble. After recovering from a broken leg in 2024, he’s back to his energetic ways—keeping his weight managed is especially important. Andrew does not get along with cats but does get along with children and some dogs meeting the right criteria. If you love the Doberman breed and can offer Andrew the stable, final home he deserves, he’s ready to meet you. Click apply to start the adoption process.
