At 5 years old, heās got that ideal mix of youthful energy and well-honed manners. Blaze is happiest outside for a game of frisbee or fetch, but heās equally content stretched out at your feet once the action is done. He truly wants to be part of whatever his people are up toāwalks, park visits, backyard barbecues, you name it. Heās affectionate and adventurous, with an easygoing personality that wins people over quickly. Heās already house trained, walks smoothly on leash, is crate trained, and knows a handful of obedience cuesāand thanks to his work ethic and love of treats, heāll pick up anything new you want to teach. Blaze needs a family familiar with herding breeds who will appreciate both his intelligence and the typical nipping that comes with it (older kids only suit him best). Blaze isnāt a candidate for a home with cats, but heād be happy solo or with another friendly dog. The ideal setup includes a secure fence and plenty of room to playāand a willingness to help him drop 7-8 pounds will keep him feeling his best.
