About Marvey
Marvey is a large, young Collie/Pyrenees mix who thrives on activity and play. He's always up for a walk, a run, or a good old wrestling match with another dog. Marvey is a pro at asking to go outside and doesn’t need a crate—he free roams without trouble, day or night. He’s loud when playful, but mostly just happy to see you or curious about the world. If your idea of a good time includes a big, goofy dog who will challenge you to keep moving, Marvey is your guy. He's great with other dogs, enjoys respectful older kids (watch out, he gets excited and might knock the littler ones over), and is friendly with new faces—though he’s working on not jumping up when he meets people. Marvey’s on the picky side when it comes to treats, but that’s part of his charm. He knows basic commands but still needs practice to do them reliably. Marvey is scared of hardwood floors and would appreciate some patience as he learns to handle slippery spaces. He barks when the mood strikes or when he’s fired up for play. Marvey was treated for heartworm before arriving in rescue and will need retesting as well as lifetime preventatives. He’s neutered, microchipped, potty trained, and up to date on vaccines. He’ll thrive in a home that offers him plenty of outdoor adventures or challenging learning activities, ideally with other dogs to romp with. Ready for a big, lovable goof who gives you a reason to stay active? Marvey is waiting in St. Paul, MN. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
