About Atticus
Atticus is a large, middle-aged to senior mixed breed who weighs around 45 pounds and looks nothing like what he's been through. After a rough start in Mexico, where he suffered a broken pelvis and leg, Atticus healed on his own. He moves around with a bit of a unique gait, but he’s happy and pain free. These days, his favorite things are a soft bed and a home filled with warmth. He’s happiest lounging on the couch, quietly watching birds out the window or dozing at your side. Atticus has a low-key way about him: he doesn’t bark at the birds, and he’ll cuddle if you welcome him. He’ll make room for himself in bed no matter how packed it is. He gets along well with other dogs, enjoys meeting people, and good-naturedly plays with others. Atticus responds quickly to training, is fully house trained, and does well in his crate when left alone, though he’s proving trustworthy with more freedom. He’s overdue for a home that matches his good-hearted spirit. Let’s make room for Atticus. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
