She is sixteen weeks old, approximately twenty pounds, still growing, and operating with the confidence of someone who has never once doubted herself. She is treat motivated to a degree that borders on spiritual devotion, which means she is making excellent progress on potty training and is already working on sit, picking things up quickly because she is smart and because the snacks are very compelling. She is good with kids and good with dogs, though she would like everyone in both categories to understand that she is in charge and she trusts they will conduct themselves accordingly. She must go to a home with an adult dog — this is not negotiable. She needs that energy to play with, to learn from, and to run alongside, and a confident adult dog will give her exactly the structure and outlet she needs to be her best, most manageable, most magnificent self. Ember is already fully herself at sixteen weeks. She knows what she wants, she loves who she loves, and she plays like she means it every single time without exception.
