About Mya

Mya — Five Years Old, Whole Heart, Ready to Find Her Person Mya has a very simple philosophy: find her human, and go absolutely everywhere with them for the rest of her life. That is it. That is the whole plan. She has been waiting to execute it and she is ready to get started. She is five years old, a pit/ staffy mix, and the kind of dog who makes a decision about you and then never wavers from it. Once you are hers, you are hers completely — on the couch, in the car, at the dog-friendly patio, wherever the day takes you. She is not looking for a place to live. She is looking for a person to belong to, and there is a meaningful difference between those two things that Mya understands instinctively. She communicates her devotion with the occasional soft "boof" — not a warning, not a demand, just a little check-in. A love language. She has got you and she wants you to know it. Mya is a committed couch potato who owns that identity without apology, and she is also somehow equally content sitting outside watching the entire world go by with the calm authority of someone who has earned the right to just exist and observe. She contains multitudes. She does all of it with her whole chest. She is house trained with zero accidents, fully vaccinated and spayed, and good with kids and calm friendly dogs. She pulls on leash so a harness is a non-negotiable part of the deal, and she is an alert barker when unfamiliar noises catch her attention — she has the whole block covered and she takes that responsibility seriously. A fenced yard is preferred, because Mya loves outside time almost as much as she loves her person, and having both available to her is the dream. Mya does not need much. She does not need fancy. She needs someone who wants a companion in the truest sense of the word — someone who will show up for her the way she will absolutely, unconditionally show up for them every single day without question. She has been waiting for her person. If that is you, go get her. Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
