Julie's world was recently was turned upside down after 11 years with her family. Adopted as a young dog from a rescue in Chicago, Julie spent more than a decade as a devoted companion to her mom, dad, and their child. When a second baby joined the family last year, it was discovered that the child had severe allergies to Julie. With heavy hearts, her family made the difficult decision to surrender her to our care so we could find a loving home where Julie can spend her golden years. Now 14 years old and weighing 10 pounds, Julie is a gentle, affectionate girl with so much love left to give. Her former family describes her as a sweetheart who enjoys neighborhood walks, relaxing in the sunshine, and spending time with her people. Julie gets along well with other dogs and has experience living with young children. She would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a calm, loving friend to share their days with.
