10-year-old Lola was initially entrusted to our care temporarily after her mom went to a rehabilitation center after having surgery. Sadly, her recovery didn't go as planned, and she is no longer able to live independently. Now, Lola needs a loving new home for her golden years. Might it be with you? Lola has been living with a Foster family since mid-March, so we have learned a lot about her personality and the type of home where she will thrive. Here's the scoop from her foster mom: Lola is a sweet, gentle girl who loves being near her people-whether that's lounging on the couch, napping nearby, or curling up in bed. She's affectionate and enjoys belly rubs and scratches. A typical day for 20 lb. Lola includes short walks, exploring the yard, and lots of cozy nap time. This mellow girl is happiest just hanging out with her humans, but she isn't needy or demanding of attention. Lola does well when left home alone and can be trusted uncrated. Lola does not show any food aggression toward people. However, she will help herself to another other dog's food if given the chance, so she should be fed separately in a multi-dog home.
