12-year-old Pepe was initially entrusted to our care temporarily after his mom went to a rehabilitation center after having surgery. Sadly, her recovery didn't go as planned, and she is no longer able to live independently. Now, little Pepe needs a loving new home for his golden years. Might it be with you? Pepe has been living with a Foster family since mid-March, so we have learned a lot about his personality and the type of home where he will thrive. Here's the scoop from his foster mom: Pepe is a very sweet, affectionate 12 lb. boy who loves belly rubs and being petted. He enjoys napping on the couch, sleeping his bed with his people, and going for walks around the neighborhood. Pepe has been timid during mealtime in his foster home. His foster family has found that Pepe prefers being eating from a flat plate in a quiet space by himself or being hand-fed. Pepe does well around other dogs and lived with another small dog for many years. He will speak up if another dog oversteps Our wish for Pepe is a loving, patient forever home where he can feel secure and be given time to adjust.
