About Sophie
Sophie is an 8-year-old Chihuahua who found herself at Frosted Faces Foundation after her previous owner could no longer care for her due to health issues. She’s the definition of a gentle lap dog, happiest when curled up next to someone or sharing a bed with another small dog. Sophie’s affection is matched by her patience—she blends easily into a group and loves company. Her foster experience gave even more insight: Sophie is sweet-natured, trusting, and clearly well-loved. She responds to her name, and even a friendly bell or kiss sounds, finding her way to her person for a treat or cuddle. While the changes in her life have made her understandably cautious at times, a little reassurance puts her at ease. Sophie eats well, prefers wet food with her kibble, and has shown no food aggression. She had just one initial accident in her new environment and picked up outdoor bathroom routines quickly. When left alone for up to four hours, Sophie spent her time calmly resting and didn’t get into trouble. Her daily routine includes walks, playtime with squeaky toys, trips in the car, and plenty of evening downtime for snuggles and brushing. She’s content to settle in for TV time and always seems grateful to just be nearby. If what you want is a calm, well-mannered little dog with a loving heart, Sophie is ready to join your home.
