About Elsa
Elsa and her buddy Benji are a bonded pair of 7-month-old pups looking to leave their rough start behind. Both are still learning that the world isn't so scary, so they're hoping for an experienced adopter who understands dog body language and doesn't mind a slow introduction. Once comfortable, Elsa's playful, goofy side comes out—she's the kind of dog who will make you laugh when nobody's watching. They get along well with other dogs and have a good canine history, but they haven't met cats, so careful, patient introductions will be needed if there are resident felines. Elsa and Benji need a calm, adult-only home that's stable and predictable—apartment or condo life won't cut it. They need a securely fenced backyard where they can sniff, run, and unwind. Expect a slightly longer adoption process with several visits to get everyone comfortable and set up for success. If you're looking to help a pair of deserving dogs grow into their best selves, these two are ready to start their next chapter. Start your journey together! Apply now.

Questions about Elsa
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Elsa, being a Great Pyrenees/Boxer mix, will do best in a quiet single-family home with adults, especially one with a securely fenced yard. These breeds thrive in environments where there is plenty of space and a calm routine.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Elsa’s breeds generally need access to a decent-sized, securely fenced backyard to stretch their legs and burn off energy. Apartment or condo living often isn't suitable for dogs like Elsa.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Elsa is seeking an adult-only home, and her breeds can be wary with too much noise or unpredictability, making her a poor fit for households with children.
