About Ariel
Meet Ariel! Ariel is a striking red tri Australian Shepherd with a nub tail and sharp blue eyesāthe red in her coat gave her the name. At about 3 years old and weighing around 56 pounds, this spayed, vaccinated girl has her basics down: sheās crate trained, house trained, walks well on leash, and makes a great travel companion in the car. Ariel came to rescue after being found as an unclaimed stray. She is slow to warm up, especially around men, but turns into a loving, cuddly companion who soaks up affection once she trusts you. Ariel prefers a calm setting and gets overwhelmed in loud or chaotic places. With other dogs sheās content to coexist and would do well with a confident canine friend to help her settle in. Toys arenāt really her thing yet, but that might change as she grows more comfortable. Her low prey drive suggests she could be okay with cats, though she hasnāt lived with any before. Unlike most Aussies, Ariel isnāt high energyāsheās happiest near her people, soaking up a quiet vibe. Ariel does best in a suburban home where things arenāt hectic. Sheās a quiet, gentle soul who needs a secure yard (sheās athletic and can clear a fence if frightened) and patient adopters who can help her continue learning to trust and feel secure. She gets along with children and other dogs. If youāre looking for a sensitive Aussie with a mellow side, Ariel might just be your match. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
