Meet Moon! This lovely nearly three-year-old black tri Australian Shepherd is a real head-turner with her one brown eye and one blue eye, complemented by a joyful and affectionate personality. Weighing in at 58 pounds, Moon is seeking a new family that can offer her the time, exercise, and structure she needs. She’s currently in Alexandria, VA, and comes from a loving home where she was cherished since puppyhood. Unfortunately, her family had to make the tough decision to rehome her due to financial challenges, and they want nothing but the best for her. Moon is a social butterfly who loves people and thrives on attention. She would rather welcome visitors than bark at them, making her not the best guard dog but an excellent companion. She gets along well with adults and has done great with children. While Moon is friendly with other dogs, her exposure to cats has been limited. This smart girl is house-trained and crate-trained, enjoying the comforts of her own space at home. She's eager to learn and knows commands like sit, stay, and no jump. Moon will benefit from continued leash training, as she tends to pull on walks. With her energy and zest for life, Moon would thrive in an active household. A fenced yard would be ideal for her zoomies, fetch games, and regular exercise. She’s reported to have no resource guarding tendencies, rarely barks, and loves to be touched and handled. Moon is up to date on her rabies vaccine but still needs to be spayed and fully vaccinated.
