Meet Bennie! Bennie has been with ARMA for just over two weeks now. He transitioned from being terrified and shut down to a joyful and bouncy pup. At around three years old and weighing 35 pounds, he’s fully vaccinated and neutered, showcasing a striking blue merle coat and a nub tail. Bennie thrives on play and loves being close to his person. He does take time to warm up, but once he does, he is full of affection. As sweet and lovable as he is, he needs an adopter who is committed to further training. He is making solid progress with potty and household training, but he will benefit from continued work on leash walking, basic commands, and play skills. He reminds us of a young puppy still learning to navigate the world. He enjoys the company of other dogs and is eager to make friends, although he's still figuring out how to communicate in doggy interactions. Bennie’s ideal home conditions would include no young children and ideally a canine companion, with a preference for a more active lifestyle. A quieter, less congested environment will help him feel more comfortable. Patience and dedication to helping him overcome his fears are essential.
