About Jasper
Jasper came into the world after her mother was rescued from a severe hoarding situation in Texas, where living conditions were tough and neglect was widespread. Her mom, "Sweetie," was heavily pregnant and had to have a leg amputated due to a terrible untreated injury—but she still managed to bring Jasper and her five siblings into safety at animal control, where they started life with real care. Jasper and her littermates were raised in foster and thoroughly vetted before making the journey to Maine at around eight weeks old, where they settled in at Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Dover-Foxcroft. Jasper is a young, medium-sized pup with Border Collie and German Shepherd roots, which means she has both brains and stamina to burn. She’s spayed, microchipped, and current on all core puppy vaccinations and monthly preventatives. Jasper gets along well with other dogs and kids, and her quick adjustment to rescue life hints that she’s open, adaptable, and ready to bond with the right family. This dog will be an energetic companion who thrives with both mental and physical activity. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
