About Lola

Lola and her five siblings came into the world after their mother was rescued from a severe neglect situation in Texas. Their mom, Sweetie, arrived underweight and heavily pregnant, and ultimately lost a leg to a bad infection—still, she beat the odds and safely delivered all six puppies with the help of some determined foster caretakers. Lola grew up in foster care until she was old enough to travel and landed safely in Maine at Give a Dog a Home Rescue. She’s had a gentle start thanks to hands-on foster care, quality nutrition, and regular checkups, so she’s set up to thrive as she learns about the world. Lola has been spayed, microchipped, and has received all age-appropriate vaccines. At her last weigh-in, she was about 10 pounds and is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog. She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys the company of her siblings.
