About Scarlett
Scarlett was rescued along with her six siblings from a serious hoarding situation in Northern Texas that involved American Humane due to severe neglect. Now safe and cared for in Maine, she's grown healthier and strong after significant vet care, including being spayed, vaccinated (rabies and core vaccines), monthly preventatives, and microchipped. When last weighed at the end of May, Scarlett was about 20 pounds and is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog. Her mix of German Shepherd and Border Collie shows through in her intelligence and bright spirit. Scarlett is accustomed to other dogs and gets along well with them, which makes her a good fit for a multi-dog home. She’s looking for adopters anywhere along the East Coast or Canada who are willing to travel to meet her—Give a Dog a Home Rescue requires a meeting in person. Scarlett’s start in life was tough, but she’s on track for a new chapter and ready to settle in with an adopter prepared to offer her a stable and loving home. Ready to fall in love?
