About Marley

Marley, or Mar Mar to those close to him, knows that age is just a number for dogs needing a second chance. After his family moved away and left him behind, Marley ended up in the shelter system, overweight and with walks feeling more like a chore than a treat. The team at DDR stepped in, helped get his thyroid problems under control with medication, and he's become a whole new dog—his thyroid's stable and he's already shed some extra pounds. He will need to stay on thyroid medication for life and have regular vet checkups, but Marley takes it all in stride. He is the definition of people-oriented, greeting everyone like a long-lost friend and soaking up all the affection he can get. Marley would likely be a great companion for kids and loves being with his humans. He usually gets along well with other dogs, though he’s best paired with non-dominant males and a meet-and-greet is always a good idea. After so much upheaval, Marley deserves a home ready to give him the loyalty and attention he never got the first time around. He could easily become the missing piece in somebody’s family.
