About Hazel

Meet Hazel! Hazel arrived as a young puppy with a tough start, facing a handful of health challenges right away. She’s incontinent, so she needs frequent trips outside—diapers aren’t an option since they tend to irritate her. Hazel’s back end shows the effects of bad breeding; some discs in her spine are deformed and her hips sit outside the sockets. Despite this, Hazel still gets around, though occasionally she drags her legs behind her. She absolutely adores kids, but has shown some behaviors at home that mean she’s best suited for a home without young children. Her foster mom is happy to discuss the details with anyone interested. Hazel needs to be the only dog in the house. She’s food aggressive around other dogs, making solo living safest. Out and about, as long as no food is present, she’s capable of being social with dogs and is even fine with farm animals—she goes to events with her goat pals and seems to enjoy it. Hazel is about two and a half years old now and continues to charm everyone she meets. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
