About Sheriff Coltrane
Sheriff Coltrane is a friendly and inquisitive dog looking for a loving home. He’s a German Shorthaired Pointer and Hound mix, with a lovely brown and white coat that's short, making him an easy companion. While he needs to be neutered before completing the adoption, he has shown a lot of potential for being a good family pet. Coltrane gets along with kids, especially those around six years old, but each interaction should be evaluated individually. He may also do well with other dogs, depending on the specific dog. Although it’s not known if he’s lived with cats, he has shown some reactivity towards other dogs, though he remains calm around familiar ones. He has a playful side, enjoying tennis balls and plush toys, and warms up well to gentle handling. Coltrane may initially be hesitant but soon responds well to cues and redirection. He has a knack for building a bond with people, becoming quite affectionate once comfortable. Sheriff Coltrane is currently at the Lycoming County SPCA in Williamsport, PA, and ready to meet his forever family. He would thrive in a home that provides patience and guidance.
