About Ruger Urgent And
Ruger is a gentle, young Pit Bull Terrier facing an urgent deadline for a safe place to land. At just a year old, he’s lost in the shuffle at an overfull Bakersfield shelter, surrounded by hundreds of other desperate dogs. He has been waiting since May 2026 and hasn’t had much of a chance to experience a real home. Ruger’s coat is short and brown and white, giving him a classic look. He hasn’t been house trained yet, but with the right person, he’s young enough to pick up those habits quickly. He’s already neutered and vaccinated, so he’s ready to go home as soon as someone steps up. Ruger doesn’t have much time. He needs someone to give him structure, patience, and a safe space. If you’re on the West Coast, transportation can be arranged. Give Ruger a chance to know what it’s like to be someone’s dog. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
