Tickles is a young, medium-sized mixed breed with some Border Collie features, currently residing in Woolwich, ME. He has a short coat and, as a neutered male, is up to date on his vaccinations. Tickles is not yet house trained but gets along well with dogs, cats, and children. With his playful nature and gentle demeanor, he's looking for a family ready to help him continue his journey.

About Tickles

Tickles made the long trip from Alabama to Maine and is settling into his foster home. He arrived a bit nervous and still gets wary around some men, but with treats, patience, and a gentle approach, he's warming up each day. He's quickly become a favorite with the other dogs in the house and adores playing outside, chasing balls, and exploring the yard. While still working up the courage to explore the full house, Tickles uses his play pen as a safe space, which makes sense for a rescue pup figuring out his new world. With just a short time in foster care, he's opened up a lot. He does best when he has other dogs to romp with and would benefit from a home where he can be silly and social. Tickles likes attention and reassurance—he bonds closely with his people and thrives on praise and affection. He's met a cat and was easygoing, showing curiosity but not aggression. Leash walks are still new to him; as his confidence grows, so will his skills. Tickles is not yet house trained, so patience and a good routine will help him finish settling in. He’s an active, sensitive, young mixed breed (possibly with Border Collie) and has a delicate look that photos don’t quite capture. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
