If you are a fan of bat ears, Lachlan is for you! This sweet boy came into rescue when he was found dumped in the road with two other dogs. The pups were staying the the road and begging to be let into passing cars. Luckily they were scooped up, brought to rescue, and he is now here in Maine awaiting his forever family to find him. He's estimated to be about a year old and a Cattle Dog mix. He weighs about 50 lbs. He's very snuggly and seems to love all people. He can be a little selective with his doggy friends- he can come on strong but does not like other dogs that come on strong. He seems to prefer female dogs and dogs that are calmer and more chill. He walks great on leash and is great with kids. He is an older pup so still needs to work on not jumping up for attention. He's very smart and treat motivated. As a cattle dog, he does have energy so will need a family that will give him walks, play time, and mental stimulation. He does have the cattle dog tendency to herd so his future family will need to be aware of the breed and their needs. He really loves men and is a big fan of his foster dad. He is a little too interested in cats, so we recommend he go to a home without cats. Lachlan is here in Maine and ready to find his forever family!
