At around 50 lbs, she’s the perfect medium-sized companion with a gentle spirit, playful curiosity, and a growing confidence that shines more every day. Her Story & Personality Sundae came into our rescue with her five puppies, and while she was initially a little shy and unsure in her new environment, she has truly begun to blossom. With a bit of time to adjust, her loving and playful personality emerged, and now she enjoys being part of the daily rhythm of a home, soaking up both companionship and calm moments. She may take a little time to warm up to new people, but once she feels safe, her affectionate and gentle nature comes through beautifully. Sundae enjoys companionship, attention, and simply being included in whatever her people are doing. She has a lovely balance of playful curiosity and calm presence— happy to explore and observe the world, then settle in nearby once she’s had her fill of activity. Daily Routine Sundae starts her day around 7 AM with a relaxed morning and a backyard potty break before heading out on a walk with the other dog in the home. She does well on leash and is still polishing her manners, but she is eager, responsive, and trying her best. Breakfast is around 9 AM, after which she’s happy to relax, hang out near her people, or spend time in the yard exploring. In the evening, she enjoys dinner around 8 PM and then settles in nicely indoors, content to be close to her family and enjoy a peaceful night. Favorite Things Sundae is especially fond of the outdoors— sniffing around the yard, exploring, and watching squirrels and birds with deep fascination. She can get adorably distracted on walks by all the movement around her, but it’s all part of her curious and observant nature. She also loves being near her people, other dogs, and of course treats, praise, and affection. Training & Progress Sundae is learning quickly and gaining confidence every day. She is responsive to gentle guidance and thrives with positive reinforcement. She is currently working on her leash manners, house routines, and crate training, and continues to improve as she settles into structure. She is doing well with her potty routine and is learning what’s expected in a home environment, including using the backyard appropriately and going on walks. With Other Dogs & People Sundae does well with other dogs and enjoys their company. She currently shares space and walks with the dogs in her foster home and benefits from their calm presence. With new people, she may be a little reserved at first, but she warms up with time and kindness. Once comfortable, she enjoys gentle attention and being part of the social environment around her. Special Notes Sundae has a quietly charming personality. She’s curious, observant, and often found watching the world go by with deep interest— especially anything involving birds or squirrels. She has a sweet mix of playful energy and calm companionship that makes her a joy to be around. Final Thoughts Sundae is the kind of dog who doesn’t demand attention— but earns it slowly and completely wins your heart. She is beautiful, thoughtful, playful, and sweet, and she’s blossoming more every day into a wonderful companion ready for her next chapter.
