About Sky

They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply? Sky is a four year old spayed female who has a wonderful personality and endless charm. She absolutely loves to play and snuggle, happily soaking up affection from all family members. Sky walks beautifully on leash and adores long walks, which makes her the perfect companion for an active lifestyle. Like any true Husky, she has plenty of energy and thrives best with regular exercise. Sky is bonded to her son, and they are searching for a home together where they can play off each other's energy. They make an amazing duo and having them together helps manage their active, high-spirited natures. Huskies are fabulous family pets, but as with many working breeds, they truly flourish in homes that understand and can meet their unique needs. Sky and her son are best suited for adopters experienced with Huskies or other intelligent, high-drive breeds such as Dobermans, German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, or Cattle Dogs. This loving pair was originally owned by a family who cherished them, but a change in circumstances meant they could no longer provide the attention and care the dogs deserved. Fortunately, two caring neighbors stepped in to make sure the dogs had companionship, though it soon became clear the best path for Sky and her son was with a dedicated family of their own. The neighbors each wanted to keep them, but both had cats— and Sky cannot live safely with feline friends. Raised alongside children, these dogs are very comfortable with kids; Sky, in particular, delights in attention from little ones at the park. Sky is seeking a home with no cats, and she is comfortable with small children. She needs plenty of exercise to stay happy and healthy, and previous medical records are available for her. Fun fact: Sky was born on July 1, which makes her a Cancer—dogs born under this sun sign are known for their loyalty and nurturing spirits. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
