About Harris
Harris came in as a stray from rural South Carolina and was originally thought to be feral, but she’s shown her true colors as a classic, spirited Jack Russell Terrier. She’s got plenty of energy and bonds closely with her foster mom, while always being eager to meet new adult faces. When it comes to children, though, Harris is wary—no one’s sure why, but she clearly prefers a home without kids. Crate-trained and treat-motivated, Harris walks well on a leash and is eager to please once she trusts you. Even when she acts tough from her crate, she’s actually craving attention and pets. At about 10 lbs, she’s a small dog who gets along well with other dogs in her foster home and is quick to pick up on new rules. Her coat is short and easy to maintain, and her Jack Russell energy makes her a fantastic fit for someone looking for an active companion. Harris is currently in Ladson, SC, and the rescue adopts locally within a two-hour radius, with rare exceptions for special cases. Your new best friend is just one click away.
