Bubu has spent nearly two years in rescue. He’s a small, black and white terrier/miniature poodle mix with a medium-length coat and a big personality. People describe Bubu as passionate—he can be intimidating in his crate, but once out, he transforms into a loving dog eager to snuggle and dish out plenty of kisses. He instantly bonds with many people, sometimes settling right into their laps. New settings or faces can trigger him, and his sensitivities aren’t fully predictable yet, so he’s not going to be an easy fit for everyone. Bubu arrived as a stray and carries some wariness from his past. A calm home without lots of visitors is best. He generally likes kids, but needs close supervision when meeting them. He gets along with other dogs but still needs patient adopters willing to invest time in understanding his quirks. The rescue adopts locally within a two-hour drive of the TriCounty area; exceptions are sometimes made for hard-to-place dogs.
