About Loki

Fostered In: Chehalis, WA Adoption Fee: $275 Vaccines: DAPP, Bordetella, Lepto Neutered, Microchipped, Dewormed, Treated for Fleas Loki is a 5-year-old Great Dane/Mastiff mix searching for a home experienced with giant breed dogs. After spending the last 5 years with the only family he had ever known, Loki came to rescue due to housing restrictions on large breed dogs. While his size may be intimidating at first glance (this boy is basically pony-sized!), Loki is truly one of the gentlest souls you could meet. Loki is potty trained, kennel trained, quiet in the house, and very well mannered. He walks nicely on leash, knows sit, lay down, and paw, and takes treats very gently, and loves car rides. He loves rope toys, zoomies in the yard, and spending time with his people. Loki plays respectfully and looks to his humans for cues if he gets too excited. If something catches his attention, he is easily redirected and responds well to "leave it." He has done okay with cats and has done well with calm, submissive dogs, though due to past negative experiences with other dogs we believe he would be happiest as the only dog in the home. Loki does well with respectful children, though because of his large size we recommend older children. After years living in a home environment, Loki would much rather relax on the couch or curl up beside his people than spend time in a crate. Loki is looking for a family that understands giant breeds and can properly manage his size while also giving him the love, patience, and companionship he deserves. He would love a home with a large yard where he can run and play, and people who are ready to snuggle up with a very oversized lap dog. Loki's adoption fee is $275. His neuter is scheduled for later this week. He will be neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas prior to adoption.
