These days, he loves playing with his dog friends—something we aren’t sure he ever had the chance to do before. Watching him discover joy, play, and connection has been nothing short of incredible. He’s wonderful with other dogs and truly needs one in his new home—a calm, social, and ideally female companion who can show him the ropes and help him continue to grow in confidence. He finds comfort and courage in canine companionship. Othello also loves pets from the people he trusts and is very affectionate. With patience, kindness, and delicious snacks, Othello will happily let you in. His new family will need to move at his pace. He’ll require a minimum of three pre-adoption training sessions (possibly more—Othello will decide when he’s ready) so his new people can learn how to support him through the transition to a new environment. He’s come too far to be rushed, and we’re committed to setting him up for success.
