Hi, I'm Precious-a 56-pound Husky mix with a gentle heart that's still finding its footing. Right now I can feel a bit anxious and on edge, especially in new environments, but I'm doing my best to take it all in. I'll quietly explore a room or the outdoors, taking in the sights and smells, even if I'm not quite ready to play with toys or enjoy treats just yet. When strangers approach me too quickly, I can get a little startled, so I really appreciate slow, calm introductions that help me feel safe. Even though I haven't fully shown my personality yet, there's a very sweet girl inside me just waiting for the right moment to shine. I came in with my friend Rambo, and we'd love to go home together if possible-but if not, having another confident dog around might really help me come out of my shell. What I need most is a patient and understanding family who will give me the time, space, and encouragement to build my confidence and learn that the world isn't so scary. With gentle socialization, kindness, and a calm environment, I know I'll begin to open up and blossom into a loving, loyal companion. I just need someone willing to believe in me and take things one step at a time. My adoption fee of $225+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society. All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
