About Jax
Jax has been waiting eight months for his family, and he’s ready to finally settle in somewhere for good. At three years old, this Boxer brings a ton of heart and loyalty, forming close bonds with his people—he's never shy about giving kisses or getting right up in your space. He's particularly great with kids and craves human company. Jax came to rescue anxious and on edge after a rough start with other dogs, having been attacked more than once. With time, patience, structure, and love, he’s learned to trust again. In his foster home, he’s thrived around other dogs and even two cats, but due to a strong prey drive when first meeting cats, he needs a home without them. With dogs, once he knows they’re safe, his playful, goofy side comes out, and he truly enjoys canine companionship—he just needs slow introductions and a confident, experienced owner who can give him the structure he needs in new situations. He’s most comfortable in quieter settings—think less crowded streets or calm hikes over busy parks—and loves spending time both playing ball and relaxing at home. Jax listens well, knows several commands, and stays loyal to the people he trusts. The ideal home for Jax is a house with a fenced yard, with an owner willing to keep building his confidence. He’d thrive with a gentle, non-dominant dog buddy and an adopter who understands boundaries and slow intros. After everything Jax has been through, he deserves a family he can count on. They’ll be lucky to have him. Jax was born on November 3rd, which makes him a passionate and loyal Scorpio. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
