Paco
AvailablePaco is a young male Chihuahua with a short, sable, tan, and cream coat. He is neutered and currently lives in Ladson, SC. Paco is up to date on vaccinations and is seeking an adopter who can offer him the understanding and patience he needs.
About Paco
Paco narrowly escaped euthanasia and is still learning to trust people. He’s wary of strangers and acts tough, especially in his crate, though he’ll gently take treats from anyone willing to offer one. On walks, Paco will allow a few cautious pets from new people, but he forms strong bonds with those patient enough to earn his trust. He’s happiest with his foster mom, acting like a loyal and nearly perfect little shadow. Paco likely does best as a deeply loyal companion to one or two people, rather than in a bustling home full of visitors. Progress continues with regular socialization, but he needs adopters who are self-assured and comfortable working through his defensive moments. Small children aren’t the right fit for him. He’s looking for someone who understands the breed and can help him bloom at his own pace. Ready to give him a try? What are you waiting for? Apply today!
