Meet Arwen, a five-year-old Rottie mix weighing 80 pounds. Arwen is an incredibly sweet girl with a gentle, loving soul. When she first arrived, she was very skinny and it was clear she’s had a tough past, likely spending much of her life having litters instead of being someone’s cherished companion. Now, she’s finally getting the chance to learn what it means to just be a dog—and she’s embracing it more every day. She absolutely adores people and is happiest when she’s close by, soaking up affection. Arwen is very treat-motivated (she’ll do just about anything for a snack!), and she already knows "sit." She’s eager to keep learning, though she can get a little enthusiastic about treats—so watch your fingers while she practices her manners. As a Rottweiler, Arwen carries many of the breed’s well-known traits. Rotties are loyal, intelligent, and deeply devoted to their people. They often form strong bonds and thrive in homes where they can feel secure and included. With the right guidance, they’re wonderful companions who combine strength with a big, affectionate heart—just like Arwen.
