Meet Shadow, a four-year-old Rottie mix weighing 61 pounds. Shadow may have had a rough start, but you’d never guess it from her gentle, loving nature. She was previously owned by someone experiencing homelessness and was later abandoned at a house, but through it all, she’s remained incredibly sweet and trusting with people. This little lady looks like a "mini Rottie"—with those classic markings and a sturdy build, just in a more compact package. She has a calm, easygoing personality and enjoys getting out for walks, where she does nicely on leash. Shadow is outgoing without being overwhelming, and she seems happiest just being near her people. The good news is her hips look great on X-Ray and she doesn’t let anything keep her down. She already knows "sit" and has a soft, affectionate side that really shines once you spend a little time with her. X-Rays show Shadow had an old spinal trauma that will require life long meds, so she may never be a super athletic dog—but that just means she’s perfectly suited for a more relaxed lifestyle. She still enjoys her walks and spending time out and about, she just won’t be your next jogging partner.
