About Allie
Allie is a smart, loyal, and sensitive lab mix, weighing around 60 to 65 lbs, with a striking black and cream coat. She’s lived at both the shelter and with her current rescue, and while she’s handled a lot of stress, she’s made it clear what she needs. Allie learns quickly—sit, down, shake, even speak—and absolutely lights up when rewarded with a treat. She can even tackle playground equipment and is making steady progress on her leash skills, though she’s still learning not to pull when she gets excited. She thrives with routine and calm. Allie is happiest with male dogs and does not get along with cats or young children, so an adult home with a mellow energy is best. She bonds deeply once she knows someone, though new faces make her nervous until she gets used to them. If you respect her space and let her come to you, she opens up. Allie’s a bit protective, especially around food, and benefits from patience and structure in her environment. Open her kennel and she’ll emerge on her own terms, ready for a walk or a scratch behind the ears. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. Fun fact: Born April 7 makes her a bold Aries—no wonder she’s so determined. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.

Questions about Allie
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Pit Bull Terriers like Allie are generally best suited for active, structured homes that can offer both mental and physical engagement. A calm, adult-only environment would suit Allie well given her sensitivities.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Pit Bull Terriers appreciate having access to a yard or regular walks. Allie enjoys outdoor activity but thrives most with daily walks and play sessions rather than needing constant access to a large yard.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
While many Pit Bull Terriers are good with kids, Allie is not comfortable around children and requires an adult-only home. Her needs are best met in a mature, low-key environment.
