This could be the start of something paw-some. Meet Levy – she arrived at the rescue with a few others after her previous owner passed away. She was very under-socialized and timid, and she still takes time to warm up and trust people. Daily training sessions with treats and gentle pets have helped her steadily improve. Levy is always kept leashed as she's still working on coming when called. She has made noticeable progress when around puppy fosters and always gets along with adult foster dogs. Levy requires a patient and understanding adopter who accepts that she may never be a typical lap dog, but she is happy to accept gentle affection. Importantly, she must be adopted to a home with another dog. Levy enjoys going on group walks but is double-leashed for her security since passing cars and bikes make her want to run.
