About Jugs
Jugs is a clever, energetic pit mix with a big appetite for both treats and adventure. He picks up new tricks quickly—"leave it" is his latest, and he’s eager to keep learning, especially if peanut butter bones or Nylabones are involved. Walks are a highlight for Jugs; nose to the ground, he loves to sniff and discover, and nothing makes him happier than running alongside a buddy. Expect a bit of excitement when you meet him—he’s strong and bouncy from sheer enthusiasm, and playtime means tug and roughhousing. Jugs can be protective of his food and shows some resource guarding, likely a habit from his days being chained and needing to scavenge. He’s still learning how to relax on leash and in a kennel. Jugs needs to be the only pet in the home—he doesn’t get along with dogs or cats—and will thrive with someone who enjoys physical activity and is patient enough to help him build confidence after a tough start. With his birthday on April 12, Jugs is an Aries, so you can count on his spirited personality to keep you on your toes. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
