About Leela

FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State. We are a local foster home based rescue. Leela is a gentle girl who loves every single person she meets. She is gentle and sweet and her dream is to be a cherished family member. Leela would be so happy in a home where her people are retired or work from home. She loves going for walks and is a great little passenger on car rides. She also loves relaxing in the sunshine in the safety of a securely fenced yard. Leela has impeccable house manners and you can take her anywhere. She has some arthritis so a home without a long staircase would be safest. Leela loves the company of other dogs. She can be insecure in new situations. Leela would really enjoy a home with a canine companion or two that can help with her confidence as she settles into her new home. We don't know her history with cats but she is so good natured that she should be fine with them. Leela has lived with children and would do well in a home with dog savvy children who understand the importance of respecting animals. Leela received a Senior Wellness Exam with bloodwork. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines. Leela is 13 years old and weighs 35 pounds. Please note, we have approximately a 200 mile adoption radius from Stanwood WA for our Senior Dogs. Save-A-Mutt may limit this distance based on the long term needs of this pet. We don’t adopt out of state except to the Vancouver BC area. We don’t ship dogs. Once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up their dog. For questions about this dog please call Elizabeth Woche, Senior and Special Needs Dog Coordinator, at 425-974-9479
