Meet Gelato—a dreamy, creamy scoop of pure sweetness served with a wagging tail and a heart full of sunshine. This compact little confection is the perfect blend of cuddly and confident, greeting everyone she meets like an old friend (kids included!). With her signature wiggle-wag and soft, soulful eyes, she’s the kind of girl who melts hearts faster than ice cream on a summer sidewalk. About 18 months old, Gelato is as easygoing as a slow Sunday afternoon—fully house trained, a breeze on leash, and happy to settle into a cozy routine. She may take a moment to “churn” herself down in her crate (with a little vocal flair at first) but soon becomes quiet as a spoon in an empty bowl. Her energy is low-to-medium: she’ll happily toss herself into a bit of playtime or roll blissfully in the grass, soaking up sunshine like it’s her favorite flavor, then transition seamlessly into snuggle mode right by your side. Like any bold flavor, Gelato has a little personality swirl—she’s enthusiastic and can play a bit “full-contact” with other dogs, so thoughtful introductions are key. She’s affectionate to her core, loves all forms of touch, and will happily “sample” you with gentle, playful nibbles. With great manners at mealtime, solid basic skills like “sit,” and a love for car rides, toys, and outdoor lounging, Gelato is the perfect scoop for someone looking for a loyal, loving companion with just the right sprinkle of sass. We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dog’s individual needs.
