About Mara
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Hi, I'm Mara—a 7-year-old, 59-pound girl who is looking forward to a brand-new beginning. After years spent raising puppies, I'm now happily spayed and ready to discover a life focused on me. Having shared my home with many dogs (sometimes as many as eight!), I'm very comfortable around other pups. I'm known for my calm, easygoing nature, and in my foster home I walk beautifully on leash and stay relaxed, even when other dogs pass by. I thrive in a daycare environment and truly enjoy just being part of the group. The simple joys mean the most to me: being able to free roam in the house, lounge around, and have fun running or playing in the backyard a few times each day. My sweet, gentle personality makes me a perfect companion for kids, including little ones. I hope to find a quiet, loving home where I can finally be the cherished member of a family I’ve always dreamed of. After giving so much, I’m ready to receive love and enjoy comfort in a forever home. Our organization is foster-based, which means our volunteers live alongside our rescued dogs every day. This gives us an in-depth understanding of each dog's personality. Our fosters are ready to answer any questions and provide details about our dogs, from their energy levels to their personalities. Apply today to find your perfect match—our team is here to help you find your new family member! This could be the start of something paw-some.
