About Ross
Ross lives with a foster family in Palatine, IL and has settled into domestic life after a rough start. At around 7 years old, he operates at a deliberately calm pace, preferring low-key routines over chaos. He’s fully housebroken and comfortable in his crate. Ross isn’t much of a barker, but when he does let out a sound, it’s a memorable wheezy “smoker’s cough” that will get a laugh. He’s confident with new people and adores lazy car rides. Ross does best as the only dog, since he can be possessive with food and toys. Watching him fashion pillows into the perfect nap nest or scoot around on his back is part of his daily charm. He loves belly rubs and isn’t shy about asking for more. Ross already knows commands like "sit" and "leave it" and comes when called. He’s eager to keep learning. If you’re seeking a grateful, independent companion—one who’s always up for a good nap and the occasional ham hock treat—Ross might be the one. Think you are the one? Submit an application!
