About Harley And Marley

This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally. **Please read Harley and Marley's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Two dogs are better than none! Meet Harley and Marley, two 4-year-old Australian Shepherd mixes. Harley weighs approx. 45-50 pounds while Marley weighs 35 pounds (as of 4/22/26). Poor Harley was surrendered when her owners abandoned her at a friend’s house in Tennessee. She is bonded to her B.F.F. (or relative), Marley. Everyone knows it takes two and these sweet ladies can't wait to bring double the love to your home! These girls may look the same, but just like every iconic 90s twin (i.e. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen or Tia and Tamera Mowry), they're also completely different! Harley is an outgoing girl who's always ready to explore new places. Meanwhile, Marley is the shy one and a bit smaller. She is a friendly gal but also cautious. Just look at her light eyebrows! Nothing gets past this one! Marley also follows Harley’s lead with a thumbs up and a "You got it, dude!" Even though they have their differences, they still do have a lot in common: - Both know their names - Both should be house-trained - Both walk well on a leash and have experience with crates - Due to their breed, they might chase after squirrels and tell them to "Go home, Roger!" - Both know some commands - They enjoy kids and other dogs but don't have experience with cats - They'll need help cutting down a few pounds. Both are super sweet and haven't been given the activity their breed needs, so they hope their future family can ramp up the exercise! Every twin needs a triplet! Bring these besties home today! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. To adopt or learn more about Harley and Marley you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $800] ** PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works. Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
