THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN A FOSTER HOME WITHIN A REASONABLE DISTANCE OF OUR KENNEL IN WOBURN, MA. ONCE A POTENTIAL ADOPTER IS MATCHED WITH A DOG AND GOES THROUGH OUR REFERENCE AND INTERVIEW PROCESS WITH AN ADOPTION COORDINATOR THIS DOG WOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO MEET BEFORE ADOPTION. IT IS OUR GOAL TO GET ALL LOCAL DOGS TO THEIR FOREVER FAMILIES WITHIN 7 DAYS ONCE MATCHED. **Please read Scooby Doo Sunshine's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Ruh Roh! Meet Scooby Doo Sunshine - a 9 1/2 month old, Beagle / Feist mix, who weighed 50 pounds (as of 3/4/26). The SUNSHINE litter were found as strays in Tennessee and looking for their forever families. Scooby Doo Sunshine is confident, mellow, affectionate, and full of charm... he's the full package! And did we mention he's got the cutest ears we've ever seen?! They're the perfect size to eavesdrop on your neighbor's conversations. Hope they're not talking about you! Scooby Doo would thrive in a home with adults only. No hard feelings, kiddos! He's a go-with-the-flow kind of guy who loves a soft bed, a kind hand, and a treat or two (maybe a Scooby Snack?). He loves to run, play with other dogs, chew, nap next to a human, sniff and chase those pesky squirrels. He's had experience in a playgroup with a trainer and has been to daycare, but prefers to hang with bigger dogs. However, he tends to get overstimulated at times so visits should be 1-2 hours. Since Scooby Doo's still young, he'll need continued behavior training and hopes his future family will have patience with him so he can be the best mystery-solving dog he can be! He can ride in a car, is housebroken, and crate trained (he uses it daily, for no more than 2 hours but he's not a fan when the crate's closed.) He walks on a leash well and knows several commands like "sit, down, paw, gentle, here, and come." When it comes to spooky situations, Scooby tends to get nervous when he’s home alone, walking in public in the dark, at the vet or when he is at the groomer for nail cutting. He is also tentative around new dogs, especially if they are bigger than him. He hopes the right family will help him get over his fears and help him realize all the spooky "monsters" are just regular people in masks! Zoinks! Scooby will thrive in a loving adults-only household where he can be your BFF! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. To adopt or learn more about Scooby Doo Sunshine, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $575] ** PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works. Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
