About Mandy Mindful
This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally. **Please read Mandy Mindful's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Meet Mandy Mindful, a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd, weighing 68 pounds (as of 3/22/26). Mandy was a stray in Tennessee that no one ever claimed, so it's your lucky day to claim her now! Mandy may have a gorgeous red merle coat and a full tail, but this girl's not full of herself at all! In fact, Mandy puts her people first by staying loyal to you and being by your side. She's sweet, friendly, and will constantly think of ways to make you smile. That's why her name is Mindful! So even if none of your family members want to talk to you anymore or your friends went on vacation without you, Mandy is there to give you comfort and love. Talk about unconditional love! Mandy has had great experiences riding in a car. She also seemed pretty chill with the dogs she encountered on her transport. Though she hasn't been officially dog tested yet, based on her interactions, we assume she should be okay. Mandy hasn't had experience with kids or cats yet, but she hopes they can all get a long. This girl is a friend to everyone, even the weird strangers down the street! She does great with leashes and crates. She'll need to be trained for potty and commands, but that's a small price to pay for sweet kisses everyday! Look at those eyes! You can't say "no" to Mandy! Bring her home today! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
