Name: Miss Gwen Breed: Catahoula mix Age/Sex: ~1.5YO, Spayed Female Weight: 35-40lbs Medical: No medical issues, HW NEG Cat Friendly: Unsure Dog Friendly: Yes Kid Friendly: Yes Crate Trained: Somewhat House Trained: Yes Location: Rhode Island Gwen is a beautiful Catahoula mix with a bob tail that moves so fast you cannot help but smile. Gwen is mixed with Brittany, Collie, and Coonhound. She is only 35-40lbs but do not let that fool you! Gwen loves to zip around with dogs 2x her size. She has amazing confidence and speed. Gwen has a sweet and mostly calm demeanor indoors - loves pets and being told she is a good girl. She does well on leash but gets very excited when encountering other dogs/people/small animals. She is still in the puppy stage so she is working on not jumping up and nipping. Gwen is alert and treat motivated, making training easy and fun. Overall, Gwen is an adorable young dog looking for a home that will help her reach her full potential. If you are interested in adopting, please click at the link below: CRNE Adoption Application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1rjvYvkyGRug-gnCPcHFB49ksrZlQNlYQddGnkoVvNNA/viewform?fbclid=IwAR1Z3LWcB1HW2pncs-N64t1xdlD6Fm9P137xk6MErsLOE4ObXQ9erCAk-nM&edit_requested=true Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family. If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered. Gwen’s adoption donation is $500 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test, is on preventative, microchip and Spay/Neuter depending on age at time of adoption. If the dog is too young for a spay/neuter, then they will be adopted with a spay/neuter contract and $100 deposit. We do not have a physical shelter; all our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
