Buzz is a Catahoula/Australian Shepherd mix with a blue merle coat who came into rescue after being abandoned and facing an uncertain future in a high-volume shelter. Despite this rough start, he’s proven himself to be a genuinely happy and easygoing companion. At 1.5 years old, he’s all about adventure—hiking, walking, and car rides are some of his favorite things, and he's always ready to jump into new experiences (sometimes literally, as he’s still working on keeping all four paws on the ground). Buzz is crate trained, house trained, and up to date on vaccinations, and he’s been neutered and microchipped. He greets everyone with energy and affection, offering hugs and kisses whenever he can. Buzz is dog friendly but does like to keep his crate and food to himself. He prefers not to share his space or belongings with other dogs, but he isn’t possessive toward people. He does not get along with cats and would do best in a cat-free home. Buzz gets along with respectful children ages 10 and up. He’s playful, independent, and social, and makes an excellent car co-pilot. An active family who loves the outdoors would suit him well.
